Letters sent to U.S. Troops PRDS Students Part Of Letter Writing Campaign To U.S. Troops Worldwide

Students and staff at PRDS wrote over 100 letters as part of Nash FM 95.7’s “100,000 Thank You’s” effort to send at least 100,000 letters to troops.

The radio station, headquartered in Nashville, with a major affiliate in New York City, mailed the “letters of gratitude” to service members and veterans across the world.

The schoolwide effort was coordinated by Mrs. Maureen Hollywood Hodroski in collaboration with Teacher Marie Phelan.

Nash FM General Sales Manager Lori Tournay Liggett subsequently sent an email in appreciation of the effort.

“I’m thrilled to hear that your students are finding a connection with our program!” she wrote.

The letters were mailed to Ms. Phelan’s brother-in-law who was recently deployed to Guantanamo Bay Naval Base.

“We had a strong response from students and staff who were delighted to participate,” said Mrs. Hodroski.
