ALC students participated in a day of fun and creative STEAM activities. STEAM (Science, Technology, Education, Art, and Mathematics), encourages students to use their artistic and creative talents to think outside of the box and to problem solve.
Each of our 18 classes received the same STEAM challenge: build a game/toy/activity utilizing recycled products. Each activity would then be shared with the other classrooms in the A, B, or C wing in a round robin format.
Our staff and students were up to the challenge and they created so many great toys and games, including water bottle race cars, milk jug Hungry Hippos, marble runs, popsicle stick and rubber band airplanes, and soda bottle bowling.
