Stonebridge Men’s Club Honored By ESCNJ Board of Directors

Generous contribution from Stonebridge Men's Club

Representatives from Stonebridge Men’s Club accepted a Resolution from the  Board of Directors recently in recognition of the organization’s contributions to the Academy Learning Center, a specialized school for students ages 3-21 with Autism and Multiple Disabilities.

While graciously accepting the Resolution from Board President Dr. Dale Caldwell, Stonebridge Men’s Club President Don Marino, accompanied by Trustee Joe Pavlichko, said “We are honored by your recognition but the real praise is due to the staff at the Academy Learning Center.  Their dedication and skill with children having the greatest needs is truly amazing.”

This year the Stonebridge Men’s Club donated $5,900 so ALC could purchase a Superstand Youth stander, and two iPads (including protective cases and extended warranties). The Superstand Youth stander is for students with multiple disabilities and helps them engage in weight bearing exercises.

Principal Dr. Erik Solberg commented: “For six years now, the Stonebridge Men’s Club has reached out to ALC students in any way they can.  This latest donation will ensure that several ALC students continue to have the best adaptive equipment for their physical development.”

Part of Greenbriar Stonebridge, a community in Monroe Township for people 55 years of age and older, the Men’s Club raises funds through an annual Golf Outing,  and publishing a community calendar with listings of businesses and services in the area.
